As a psychiatrist with 30+ years experience, I know that
availability of insurance coverage for VNS is essential. If we had
a treatment for MS patients, confined to wheelchairs, that
allowed 30-35% of them to walk and perhaps 20% to run, we
would consider these fantastic results, worthy of insurance
coverage. This is exactly the degree of disability we see w TRD
and the rubustness of response to VNS.
