Materials of construction include cast nickel alloys, ceramics, and
neodymium. In terms of size and shape, twelve sizes of square shaped
magnets and twelve sizes of cylindrical shaped magnets are now

gauss. Hermetic can customize the specific strength of the magnet if
required for a particular application.
Magnets are utilized by the company's customers to actuate Hermetic's
magnetically operated reed switches and sensors in medical, aerospace,
military and industrial applications. Reed switches require no electric
power source or battery to operate. This feature makes reed switches
the preferred switch technology chosen by design engineers when power
conservation is critical for a particular device or product
development.
Hermetic's magnet product line expansion comes as a result of increased
demand for additional options from customers in reed switch
applications, as well as from other magnet applications in electronics,
research, scientific and educational sectors.
Prices on Hermetic's magnets range from pennies to dollars (US Funds)
per unit, depending on size, shape, gauss strength and order quantity.
More sizes and shapes will be added to Hermetic's magnet product line
